Work began today on site clearing in preparation for construction the building extension at the Port Elizabeth plant. This extension will house two large Injection Moulding Machines, the first of which – an Engel 1700T – is already close to completion at the Engel factory in Shanghai. In order to accommodate the new business placed by VW and other Tier 1 suppliers and launching in 2016 and 2017, Ebor will continue to add to the existing facilities over the coming year.
The plant layout will also be substantially revised in order to optimise space utilisation and material flow.
